The mission of the Royal Oak Children's Choir
is to offer children in the fourth through seventh grades an opportunity
to grow personally and learn holistically through the intrinsic
motivation of a superior choral program.
The Royal Oak Children's Choir goals are:
to provide an opportunity for young singers
to expand their musical talents through the rehearsal and performance of
quality choral music, and to grow socially and musically from contact with
other choirs and adults;
to foster and advance holistic music education
and appreciation in the children and young people of the community;
to sponsor, conduct and participate in musical concerts;
to create, develop and encourage an appreciation of vocal music for young voices;
and
to promote public interest and enjoyment of music and liberal arts in general.
Singers are accepted through auditions which are held each year in May.
Royal Oak residency is not a requirement.
